Mobile Number Portability Add-on

The Mobile number portability (MNP) addon enables mobile telephone users to retain their mobile telephone numbers when changing from one mobile network to another.

The MNP add-on for MOR allows the system owner to check a number to see if it belongs to another network and, if so, to route it through different providers or bill it with different price.

Current implementation allows numbers to be saved in the MySQL database on any server (although this isn’t possible on a local server).

Before each call, MOR MNP add-on checks the dialed number; if the number is found in database, the correct prefix is added. By adding the correct prefix, MOR can set different routing (LCR) or billing (tariff) for the number.

NOTE: It is important to take care of various number formats user can dial a number. As a solution to it is to insert MNP number into DB in several possible formats.
